Excerpts From the Advance Screening Event for Call Me by No Name

Some exerpts from Oricon and TheTV articles covering the advance screening event of Call Me by No Name with Mio Kudou, Ichika Osaki and director Yuuka Eda:

About Mio, Director Eda said her first impression of her was that she was a fluffy girl. She noticed her tendency to internalize everything and felt it was a weakness. After watching the first episode, she realized that weakness had turned into a strength.

About Ichika, Director Eda said she’s friendly and always smiling, but she keeps what’s most crucial about her to herself. She felt she had to delve into her depths and bring it all out in front of the camera. "After watching EP1, I now think I’ve won."

In response to Director Eda’s words, Mio and Ichika both said they had been really helped and supported by the Director during filming. In particular, Ichika went as far as saying that, thanks to her, all the fear she had about playing Kotoha dissolved.

In her letter to Ichika, Mio wrote, ‘I’m really happy to see you today after a while. Seeing your face reassures me, somehow. Maybe it’s because, during the filming, both as Megumi and myself, I was helped so much by Kotoha’s presence and by yours, Ichika.

Mio thinks the highlight of the drama is EVERYTHING. "Every shot was made with care and dedication. Everything about it is dear to us, and we can truly say we love Call Me By No Name. We hope you feel the same and that it will reach your hearts."
