Yurika and Yuuka from the Radio Show: Kyou Mo Oshi to Ganbariki [Chaser Game W]

Translated bits from the January 9 episode of Yukka’s radio show, Kyou Mo Oshi to Ganbariki, which saw Yurika as a guest:

Yukka has watched Yurika in many shows and admires her amazing ability to change so much depending on her role.

Yukka was also worried that Yurika would be somewhat scary, because that’s the impression left by some of the characters she played. In reality she’s incredibly kind and cute.

Yurika’s first impression of Yukka, by checking her socials, is that of a horse lover and a fluffy gentle person. They actually share the love for horses and, during the shootings, talked about wanting to ride together.

Yukka was very impressed by how much of a pro Yurika is when it comes to acting, to the point that she considers details such as nails (like picking the color based on Fuyu’s feelings in specific scenes).

Yurika said she likes studying the characters as much as possible before going into shooting, also consulting with the director, make-up artist etc, in order not to have regrets after it’s all done (like “I wish I had done that differently” and so on).

She (Yurika) doesn’t hesitate to express her opinions in regards to her characters’ behavior, even making suggestions about changes when she feels like it’s appropriate based on her view of her characters.

Yurika actively informed Neru and Yui (former and almost former member of the group Yukka was captain of, with whom Yurika has acted with in the past) about the fact that she would work with Yukka, and they were happy about it.

Yurika’s image of Yui (Kobayashi) is that of an easy going and laid back girl, while Neru (Nagahama) is that of a quite fluffy one, kind of similar to Yukka.

Due to such impression, Yurika had a hard time wrapping her head around the fact that Yukka had been dancing Keyakizaka and Sakurazaka’s fierce choreographies for years.

Yukka mentioned how cool it is that Yurika spoke Chinese as Fuyu, and Yurika discloses that her mother is Taiwanese, so she’s known the language forever, and was happy about the role allowing her to speak it.

Yurika even suggested to add parts in Chinese where it was not originally included in the script (I love how direct and proactive she is as an actress!!)

Yurika says the relationship between Fuyu and Itsuki will develop in an interesting way and she really hopes lots of people will watch the show.

Also…Yukka and Yurika have plans to go eat Vietnamese food together. It was going to be Chinese but all the places they called for reservations were either closed or full.
