Translation of the 7th episode summary. We're getting close to the end, my friends...
Seventh Night - Proof of Her
Left without Kotoha, Megumi shuts herself in at home, until
Tabane's words push her to start tracing Kotoha's truth once more.
What is the inevitable reason that Murata tells Megumi about -
and that is not about loneliness - why Kotoha spends one night
with other people?
Relying on the words Kotoha let slip, her past, and the days they
spent together as lovers, Megumi gets closer to discovering
Kotoha’s real name.
"Call me, by my real name".
The shocking seventh night in this girls love mystery, when the
real name gets finally revealed.
=====
Ok, not much to add to this one.
I love the title and I'm not ready to see Megumi suffer, all alone (though I know Kotoha is also suffering...).
Super grateful for Tabane's existence, honestly. She's an angel and I love her.
Very very curious and scared to find out what else Murata has to tell Megumi.
Oh yeah, one thing. So the hunch I (and I guess Megumi as well) had about loneliness being part of why Kotoha chose that lifestyle was off the mark!
I do think it was more than understandable to reach that conclusion, especially after she explicitly mentioned not wanting to spend the night alone in episode 5. Still, there is something else. And it has to be something linked to her curse, her name, her past.
I thought episode 7 would only take us to right before the name is revealed, but if the summary isn't lying, we'll get to the actual name...which means I only have a few more days to try and guess... ðŸ˜

Call Me By No Name [Episode 7 Summary]

We're getting close to end, closer to Kotoha's truth.
I'm already emotional about Tabane helping Megumi and I feel like crying hearing in my mind that phrase from Kotoha, which is in one of the trailers.
Ahhh, I'm not ready.🥲#コルミノ pic.twitter.com/kYAc5IQ8qV
Ep 6 destroyed me, it was so heavy
ReplyDeleteI seriously had to take a moment after watching it
The cinematography was so excellent, the way they chose to represent Kotoha’s feelings pulled me in completely
Even that brief moment of laughter between them, their jokes, still felt sad
Kotoha is too hurt, and Megumi’s love isn’t enough for her right now, she’s not at peace with herself
As for the encounter between her and her mum, the hints are there
"If you want to go in prison, go
if you want to die do it alone,
don't drag me into this"
So yeah, it's obviously not a easy situation, obviously I want to know what her mum did, we'll see...
I have no more words for this
Everyone who watches this episode will feel the same way
Such a beautiful yet heavy episode
I feel so sad for Megumi tho, she loves her so much and always tries her best...
I really want to watch the next one
We'll get to know her name finally, I'm so curious, and maybe your guess is right!? That maybe it's related to the "night", makes sense!!!
I feel you! EP6 has destroyed a lot of us.
DeleteAnd with such beauty. I completely agree about the "happy" moment ending up feeling sad (possibly even more than the rest...).
Megumi is a tough young woman...
I feel bad, but part of me doesn't want to feel sorry for her out of respect. In the sense that she has decided to reach Kotoha no matter what, and she's doing her very best to do that (well, at least until now, we know she'll be struggling at the beginning of EP7).
If you have time, I've posted some scattered thoughts on EP6, hoping it would help me sort things in my mind, and digest the content!
As for the name...
I always feel like I'm overthinking, and that maybe it's always been much easier and I'll feel like an idiot once it's revealed :')
Megumi is really strong and yes, she deserves all the respect!!
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna check your thoughts!!
