And here is the final summary, everyone. Let's brace ourselves. I know we've been crying (at least I have) ever since episode 4, but with episode 8...even just thinking about it makes me cry. Anyway...
Proof of Love
The truth about Kotoha and her real name has been revealed.
The name-guessing game is over, and following its rules, Kotoha
tells Megumi that they should just be friends, running off as if
pushing her away.
Kotoha, who had been avoiding Megumi, starts to reflect on their
encounter and the days that led them to develop feelings for each
other.
And as she drowns in her emotions, Sanae and Murata speak some
words to Kotoha.
What future will Kotoha and Megumi choose?
"I'm sure I'll end up hurting you someday!"
The final night of this heart-wrenching girls' love mystery,
weaving towards the future.
=======
I am so emotional about everything, really...
It's interesting how, at least going by the summary, the episode will step away from Megumi's perspective (but we don't need to be told that she won't just accept Kotoha running away from her, right?) to focus entirely or almost entirely on Kotoha.
We'll get to see Kotoha, in her empty apartment...that's not really that empty anymore. Megumi's presence is there, through that otter that gave me literal nigthtmares.
I look forward to seeing Sanae help Kotoha get straight back on her feet, and on the right path to love (to be read as Megumi, obviously!). I wonder how harsh she'll be. Pretty harsh would seem fitting, wouldn't it? While I can't say I exactly look forward to this other thing, I don't mind the idea of Murata ultimately pushing Kotoha to Megumi. It would make sense for his character, I guess.
It can be okay to get hurt a bit, Kotoha. You'll get through it together. Megumi wants to get through it together.
"I want us to face the pain together", "Let's face the pain together".
Bless Suisou for the beautiful lyrics she wrote for this series.
Okay, time to cry. Bye!!
