— Tell us about how you felt when you heard you'd be working together again, considering it’s your first time co-starring in ten years, and you were already friends.

Karin: I was really happy, and since we're playing a very affectionate couple, I was able to enjoy the filming without any worries at all. When the casting was confirmed, Anna messaged me saying "Let's go eat out together a lot!", so we promised each other we would, and we've been making it happen (laughs).

Anna: We're seriously going out to eat a lot (laughs). I was super happy when I heard I'd be playing Karin's girlfriend, so I reached out to her immediately! The joy stayed with me even after we started filming. There are many scenes that include ad-libbed moments, and I think it's being so fun for me precisely because I'm sharing the experience with Karin!

— Has it ever happened that your natural selves would come out during filming?

Anna: I mean, we're our natural selves the entire time, aren't we?

Karin: For sure. The closeness definitely reflects our true selves. Even though we're not really like our characters, the unique closeness between Anna and I is totally real (laughs).

— What were your impressions after reading the script?

Karin: I thought that every character was so unique and full of charm, that the dialogues had a very peculiar rhythm, and that there were a lot of lines so funny that I couldn't help but want to read out loud. Nao is so bright and adores Shiho really deeply, so I felt that my role was to try and express that with all I've got!

Anna: There’s a lot of dialogue in the story, and every single one feels super natural, so much so that it's very easy to picture the scenes in your head. Shiho also loves Nao a lot, and is very devoted to her. She also makes an effort to try and hide her introverted side, occasionally blurting out some sharp remark...I think she's a very multilayered character.

— How was it to play Nao and Shiho?

Karin: I find their relationship so dazzling! Nao loves Shiho to the max, with zero hesitation or bashfulness, and no self-interest at all, while Shiho returns that love just as fully. Being able to experience that through this role made me feel happy every single day. We're laughing all the time, aren't we?

Anna: We are! We're laughing, having fun and being happy all the time, which makes me feel so lucky for having gotten this role! I already told the director this, but I feel that a lot of the expressions I get to show as Shiho are only possible because Karin and I were already close to begin with!

— Are there any similarities between yourselves and your characters?

Karin: Absolutely. I think I'm just as outgoing as Nao, I love being around people and communicating with them. Because of this, I would say I didn’t really need to work on building the character. Not to mention that I also love Anna, so...!

Anna: What I think I have in common with Shiho is that our motivation for working hard is being able to spend time with the people we love, family and friends, eat good food and trying to make our dreams come true. I also love doing fun things!

— What about the other's similarities and differences with her character?

Karin: Shiho has been hurt in the past, so she's afraid of people and sometimes behaves in a defensive or intimidating way to protect herself, which is the complete opposite of Anna! She's a great communicator and even her style and makeup are very natural.

Anna: Nao tends to take the lead and reassure Shiho, telling her that everything is okay, which I would say is definitely something she has in common with Karin. She has this fearless side to her, and I've been helped out by that many times!

— Considering it’s been ten years since you last worked together, have you noticed any changes in each other?

Karin: No, she hasn't changed at all!

Anna: I’d also say nothing has changed.

Karin: That’s kind of sad (laughs).

Anna: No, it’s a good thing! To provide a concrete example, after we went kickboxing together not long ago (note: last September), she asked me "Want to shower together?", and the very same thing happened back when we were around 16 and we stayed overnight together! Anyway, this time she got like "Wanna get in together?", but it was a really small shower room...so I turned her down. (laughs)

Karin: That's right! That made me sad!!

Anna: See? Always the same (laughs).

— Lastly, what would you say are the highlights of the drama?

Anna: I find it beautiful how the story affirms the future of every character. One of the couples is getting divorced, but neither of them is made into the "bad guy". You end up wanting to root for everyone! I hope viewers will watch over Nao and Shiho as they try and make their dream of owning a food truck come true.

Karin: There is a total of three couples, and the show makes it clear that it's okay for each of them to be different from the others, to have their own shape. I myself started to get excited about the future, thinking about what kind of partner I might get one day, so I hope the viewers will feel the same way!
