Another subbed clip from the event that preceded the airing of the first episode of the show. Mio and Ichika share their thoughts on their respective characters, and director Eda adds her interesting perspective. Enjoy!
First of all, it made me so happy to hear Mio say she had a lot of fun playing Megumi. It felt very genuine. Also, it's so cute when Ichika mentions that she talks all the time (including Mio's reaction)! Second of all...I feel like Eda is in the position to be able to say something like that, about Mio and Ichika resembling their characters. She has guided and helped them through challenges that allowed her to understand them quite deeply. If you've read any of the interviews they've released (especially this, this and this), you'll know how similar Ichika is to Kotoha, in her resistance to show her weakness. Ichika pretty much underwent a breakthrough during the filming, also thanks to Eda. And Mio...she might not be as straightforward as Megumi, but has a cute soft vibe that resembles Megumi's and, more than that, she has an almost hidden strength and seriousness when it comes to her job which probably reflects in other aspects of her life as well. And apparently as Kotoha and Megumi develop as characters they will become more and more like Ichika and Mio, so looking forward to seeing that!
